Ian Roe summer of music blog

I’m just going to go ahead and say it – summer is coming to an end.

It’s not about the weather, or the fact we’re getting tired and lethargic after an array of party-heavy music festivals, or the fact I am now beginning to bake less. It’s about August. The month of August. And whether we like to admit it or not, this month reflects the dusk of summer, and the dawn Autumn.

Before we move on however, let’s take a moment to reminisce. This morning I switched on my computer only to relive the summer gone by, the same way we always do… By listening to some music.

Amazing isn’t it? How music, somehow manages to etch itself into our memories, and help us relive our past from the sounds of just natural objects, vibrating to make a single musical note. It’s terrific. So, I thought it would only be fair to share the sounds of my summer with you all, by giving you an insight into my Spotify Summer 2015 playlist. Here you go…

Look at that! Wouldn’t you say that’s a beauty of a playlist? All the weddings, all the camping trips, the partying, park chilling, trumpet playing, even the dog walking, has been accompanied by the list of musical geniuses above. Particular favourites include Major Lazer / MØ’s ‘Lean On’ and Family of the Year’s ‘Hero’.

But summer’s not over yet people, so enjoy what’s left of it before those leaves turn brown and get involved by having a listen to the above and telling me what you think.

Over and out. *kshhhh*
