With shows currently broadcasting in over 100 countries, travel and culture journalist Martyn has hosted a series on undiscovered Egypt, several cookery programmes, an award winning diving documentary, live studio entertainment shows, two series about St Petersburg and has fronted dozens of travel and adventure shows – most notably three series of the extreme travel show “Wayfarer” taking him to 75 cities across the 9 time zones of Russia.

Having visited more countries than most do in a life time he’s not adverse to risking his life for the love of programme making!

Travel

As a popular studio panel guest Martyn is also used as a travel expert by various magazines and newspapers in the UK and around the world. A self confessed ‘obsessive traveler’ the witty northerner has visited a staggering 550 towns and cities around the world; That’s enough air miles to go around the globe more than 50 times!

Diving

Martyn hosted and produced the award winning documentary series ‘My Abyss’ training for months to become an extended range deep see diver, climaxing in the successful completion of some of the world’s deadliest dives.

Arts and Entertainment

With his training and background in West End musicals, Martyn puts his professional performing experience and journalism into great use – showbiz gossip, studio entertainment shows, fashion segments, celeb interviews and red carpet. Scripted, auto cue, ad lib and live links – he’s done it all!

Current Projects

Martyn currently lives between London and Moscow. As one of the main faces of the English speaking channel RT international, he writes and presents the popular weekly culture show ‘Moscow Out’, hosts the food strand ‘A Prime Recipe’ and is the channel’s resident entertainment expert.
