The film which hit cinemas just before Christmas is launching on Blue Ray this week so Comedian and Presenter Douglas Anderson and I were sent to a secret location to learn some stunts for ‘Gabby Live’ on 5. We were trained in stage combat and weaponry so we could re-inact a scene in the film where Justin Timberlake takes Amanda Seyfried hostage! We were tought to punch, kick, and beat up dramatic looking henchmen as well as vault bannisters and jump through walls. My favourite moment of the day was smashing a glass bottle over my co-host Dougie’s head! A stunt bottle of course. Here is a photo of some sugar glass vases also used to hit people with. You’d never guess they were not real!!

Next month the legendary Earl Okin embarks on a tour which sees him take in India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Cambodia! I have been to Cambodia and love the thought of a slightly eccentric performer in spats and three piece suit playing his guitar in a bar in downtown Phnom Penh – they will not know what has hit them. Aside from that Javier Jarquin returns next week from 6 weeks gigging – and winning competitions – in New Zeland and in April Mae Martin is part of the Halifax Comedy Festival in Canada alongside big names like Greg Proops. We’re going global!

I attended the MotorSport Hall of Fame with my good friend Andy and we had an incredible time. Jake Humphrey hosted this prestigious event which saw the inauguration of Adrian Newey, John Surtees, Colin McRae and Giacomo Agostini joining Motor Sport’s shrine.

Ever since I hosted the RedBull Speed Jam with Jake I’ve been hooked on the sport – add my Brazilian heritage and you have a true motor sport fan, So being in such an incredible space (and stroking the RB7) made me a very happy lady indeed!

Therefore, my carefully thought out New Years resolution was to think more about the small things. I often aim ridiculously high and jump up missing several steps along the way. It works but I’m forever putting more pressure on myself and New Years resolutions are no different. So this year I focused on keeping it small and made three resolutions.

1. Drink more water
2. Wake up at 8am everyday
3. Make smaller lists

My lists are usually endless, I love lists it’s quite the addiction and I am sure many of you fall foul of the over ambitious list.

So I have been drinking loads of water and waking up at 8am regularly (the fact that I had a two hour snooze this morning isn’t the point) I figure we should tailor our resolutions, plans and lists to help ourselves succeed and feel good. Rather than have ridicu-lists that are a set up for stress. Double check your list and then bin it x

Reporting for US show, Reelz channel, Sian reported from the BAFTA red carpet…and this time actor Nick Frost didn’t get her in a headlock!
