Stuart Mitchell

Finalist of the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year 2012, Stuart Mitchell is one of the most exciting new stand up comedians performing across the UK.

The Glaswegian comics’s sharp one liners, brilliant turn of phrase and clever wordplay made him a perfect choice to support Stewart Francis and Hal Cruttenden on part of their national tours in 2012.

Stuart has appeared on BBC3 Comedy Marathon, Hardeep at the Stand (BBC Scotland) and recently presented a Glasgow Comedy Festival Special for BBC Radio Scotland. Stuart has also written sketches for BBC Scotland and The Comedy Unit.

As well as being a comedy performer and writer Stuart studied acting at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. He was recently the lead in the STV Drama, In Search for Bible John where he played the famous Scottish serial killer.
