So I dropped a can of paint right outside where I live……….
Alton Towers is great.
It always was my favourite day out as kid, and things haven’t changed.
And I can confirm that after 20+ visits over 30 years I’ve finally cracked it.
Go on a weekday in May when the kids are at school. Not a queue in sight.
So it’s all about the London Marathon and how everyone pushed their body to the limits for 26 miles blah blah blah.
But I’m built for speed, not distance, so I ran in my first 10k road race last week and with a time of 44.20 I came 168 out of 948 runners. As that’s my first running race since my 5th form Sports Day in 1990 (pause: feeling old moment) I’m pretty damn chuffed.
Next one’s on Saturday and I think I can shave off a couple of minutes; Or maybe it was beginner’s luck!
I felt like I was actually away from work for ages and felt all refreshed and motivated yesterday.
Highlights included Boris bikes, picnics in Hyde Park, Damien Hirst, the History Of British Design at V&A and our very own sell out Musical Comedy Awards Final gig at the Bloomsbury on Saturday night.
Horse and Louis and Frisky and Mannish stole the night for me.
