All you can eat utopia…
Jodie McMullen |
Well, until last weekend, I didn’t believe it was possible.
Imagine a dream restaurant, with a menu fit for a king and the power to order anything (hold up…wait a minute…did I just say anything?). Don’t I mean a partially covered buffet, with people coughing and handling the luke warm goods?
Hell no!! I mean…you can order ANYTHING on the menu however many times as many times as you like.
Fresh Thai, Malaysian and Japanese cuisine…coming out every 5 seconds, like a crazy montage on a film about feeders.
My three newly bloated mates and I, were in food heaven. We calculated at the end of the feeding frenzy, we had eaten 40 dishes between us. Nice work.
Funny that this should be the highlight of my week. Let’s delve into the vault, and see what else I’ve been up to.
I had an audition on Tuesday for a new TV series. They wanted an Aussie (check), someone in their 30′s (check), an extrovert (check) and lastly someone slim (ummmmmm…I will be, once I lose this pillow under my shirt).
It was all good though, I told them I’d be back in fighting shape after the birth in October.
My acting has taken a back seat of late, as I’ve focused on my true love of presenting.
A little blast from the past can be seen here. This vintage reel shows excerpts from my two feature films ‘Jack of Diamonds’ (where I replaced Patsy Kensit) and ‘Requiem’ (starring alongside Jason Connery).
Anyhow, they’re not shooting until Jan – so I could be in with a fighting chance (if I avoid the ‘all you can eat’,'Thai Elephant 2′ in peace).
I also just dug up some clips, from my Presenting gig on The ‘Cannonball Run’ car rally, and from the ‘Celebrity Party Poker’. I’ll add them next blog.
Oh, I mentioned last time about wanting to go to a ‘Queens Jubilee’ street party. I now have a few up my sleeve, and can’t wait to hit the streets on June 5th.
Being an Aussie we love a good celebration, and that’s also one of the endearing things I find with the UK public. Their complete depression in the winter months, versus OTT enthusiasm once the sun shines is truly remarkable.
Speaking of partying, and you madcap Brits – I’m going to leave you with a cautionary/inspirational tale, for my fellow presenters. Courtesy of the SUN NEWSPAPER. Oh yes,the oracle of all that is good and true in this world.
Until next time…Hoorooooo!
xx
